Outstanding book As a local resident of Groton, I am very familiar with Race Rock Lighthouse In fact, we have a Dan Price painting of Race Rock that s been hanging in our house for the past 10 years My husband is a submariner and passes this lighthouse every time he heads out to sea, and every time he return home It s his favorite of the local lighthouses though I must admit, mine has always been Ledge Lighthas since I was a little girl.I initially saw this book in a gift shop in New Lo Outstanding book As a local resident of Groton, I am very familiar with Race Rock Lighthouse In fact, we have a Dan Price painting of Race Rock that s been hanging in our house for the past 10 years My husband...

I would like to thank Smith Publicity and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review As I looked through other reviews for this book, I wondered if we all read the same story There were lots of raves for Legacy of the Light, but I really can t join them The book was very slow reading for me It was hard for me to get into at the beginning I actually think the book could have been a little tighter, the story toldconcise over fewer pages. There were momen I would like to thank Smith Publicity and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review As I looked through other reviews for this book, I wondered if we all read the same story There were ...

This is one of those books you curl up and read on a dark, stormy night It does well capturing the atmosphere of being on a small, secluded island and the storm scenes are very well done I never really found myself engaged in the story and never had a problem putting it down and taking a break from it something I usually never do It just seemed to drag in places and didn t hold my attention It seemed muchatmospheric than historical in nature so I think marketing to the right audience This is one of those books you curl up and read on a dark, stormy night It does well capturing the atmosphere of being on a small, secluded island and the storm scenes are very well done I never really found myself engaged in the story and never had a problem putting it down and taking a break from it something I usually never do It just seemed to drag in places and didn t hold my attention It seemed muchatmospheric than historical in nature so I think marketing ...

I enjoyed the writing style and the story I can t think of another author who writes in quite the same manner, I am entertained and informed This would certainly be a good read for someone with an interest in lighthouses, or the area around Groton New London Connecticut.

I thought this story was really interesting Not necessarily for the storyline, which I thought was good and kept my interest, but I knew the lighthouses described in this story It was a different book and one I am happy I read for Netgalley.

Read this book after visiting Ledge Light, which is slowly being restored by the author of the book a former National Geographic photographer and his wife Nice historical mystery, not a bad first novel at all I like books which spanthan one generation.

The antagonist in this book was annoying to me and the story was choppy but over all it was a decent read

I bought this book because we sail in this area, often right past Race Rock This was a good story and well written The ending was a little trite and contrived.
